Even with the best care, sometimes your pet may require emergency medical attention. In such a situation, do not panic, call North Shore Veterinary Clinic or one of the local emergency hospitals: Animal 911 or Animal Emergency & Critical Care Center. If you live in Lake County or in Chicago, call Animal Emergency Of Lake County or Chicago Veterinary Emergency Services.

If it is during our normal business hours on weekdays or Saturday mornings, call North Shore Veterinary Clinic and describe the problem and we see you as soon as possible. During nights and weekends, please call your closest emergency animal hospital.
If you go to an emergency hospital, please request that they send us a report so we may continue your pet's care. We also ask that you please call us the next day to describe what happened and so we may give you further recommendations and instructions if necessary.
