We have numerous clients who thank us for our consideration and attentiveness with themselves and their pets. Many of our new clients come to us because of word of mouth from those pleased with our care.
However, some of our clients are so pleased with us, that they take the initiative to describe their experiences with a wider audience than just family and friends.
From the August 2008 issue of Angie's List,
Justine Hood credits North Shore Veterinary Clinic (847-966-3080) for saving her feline friend's life. "My cat was extremely ill because of a reaction to a thyroid medicine -- I needed a vet who specialized in internal medicine," Hood says. "Dr. [Thomas] Johnson [the clinic's veterinarian] saved my cat! He's the most caring individual and has an unbelievable 'bedside manner' with both animals and their owners. They're incredibly sincere in their passion to help your pet live a healthy and happy life."
Another of our clients wished to describe her experiences to anyone interested in Dr. Johnson and North Shore Veterinary Clinic. Without our solicitation, Judy Meikle asked us to share her account and even has offered to answer any questions you may have (judymeikle@yahoo.com). From her letter:
I would like to take this opportunity to most highly recommend North Shore Veterinary Clinic (NSVC) in Skokie. My grandmother came all the way from 1320 N. State in Chicago as far back as the 1920's to go to what was then known as North Shore Animal Hospital in Evanston, Il with both her dog and cats. My mother brought our numerous dogs (Cocker Spaniels, German Shepherds, Collie, Lhasa Apso) and even a pet rabbit to NSVC from our home in Winnetka. She went to both Evanston back in the 1950 and 60's and then Skokie locations for more than 50 years total.
Dr. Johnson helped us to have one of our German Shepherds live comfortably to the ripe old age of 16. He was there for us when the painful decision to put her down was made and really helped [us to know] know we had made the correct decision for our pet. After, we received condolence notes from the staff as well as Dr. Johnson himself. The notes in the card were each personal, with a remembrance of Maggie (our beloved dog). I have called with an emergency and Dr. Johnson and his staff stayed open late on a Saturday so that we could bring an ill dog in to them for treatment. When [our] dogs have stayed overnight at NSVC, we have received a call to report to their status as they know how much you miss your pet when they are not with you and how worried you are when they are ill.
We had a Lhasa live to 17 and when she developed an inoperable tumor by her eye, Dr. Johnson was there for us again. I now take my current dog and previous dogs to Dr. Johnson. I adopted Ginger from a shelter through www.petfinder.com. Dr. Johnson gave her a full physical the day after I got her and pronounced her healthy though he gave me drops for an ear infection (so common in floppy ear dogs). She loves going to see Dr. Johnson and the staff; she never pulls not to go in; just the opposite; she wants to go into NSVC and get treats and hugs from one and all there.
Dr. Johnson is smart, kind, [and] compassionate; he keeps up on the latest treatments and research and searches for the best solution for both you and your pet. He is the kind of person you want in your corner when tough decisions need to be made. Even thought it is a bit of a drive and we go by a few other vets on our way to NSVC; I know that my pet will get the very best and loving care at NSVC. Many of the staff have been with Dr. Johnson for over 10 and even 15 years (I think Sandy has been there even longer). That is quite remarkable in positions that have very high turn over industry wide. You will never regret going to NSVC as they provide the very best care for your pet and always think of the human as well.
If you have any questions please contact me at judymeikle@yahoo.com as I would be happy to answer them for you, thank you for reading this,
