The Pet Gallery: Page 4
Welcome to our Pet Gallery. Get to know our friendly, fun, fantastic,
furry friends. We'd love to add your fuzzy family member to our mix. Please e-mail a photo or three
to
djohnmedcomp@yahoo.com and put "Pet Gallery" in the subject. Include your pet's name and a little note about
how your pet received it or simply just a cute story. Who knows, your little (or not so little)
one may even become a professor and "teach" a subject in our library!
This healthy capable dog is Moose,
actually Maxwell Silver Moose. One look at him and no one will have
any doubt that his name fits. He has the strength of a moose as well.
Asking his owner "Why Moose?" He seemed to resemble a clumsy moose.
He was one of eleven puppies. His father was 110 pounds. His owner came
up to the puppies and said, "Sit." Moose was the only one who sat and
that's why he went home with his new family.
This is Sox, he was just a six week old kitten
when her first came to see us. He came home from college with his current owner's daughter.
Now lives with her mother. Can you guess why his name is "Sox?" Look at his little feet.
He has "socks," those little white markings on his feet. He has come for his first visit to
North Shore Veterinary Clinic to ensure he's healthy. Let me tell you, this is one
sweet little kitten.
Let me introduce you to Rico Callie.
His real name though, is Rico Callie John Wayne Airport. Don't worry,
it will make sense in a moment. He was originally rescued from a Los
Angeles rescue group. He came here via John Wayne Airport. He was originally
named Rico when adopted by his new family, but his new "father" wanted
to name him California. (I imagine that became "Callie" for short.)
He only weighed 3 pounds when rescued and he had mange and fleas. Since
then, he has turned around to become a happy 10 pound Chihuahua. He
lives with two other chihuahuas at home, Mr. T and Liza Jane.
Professor Rico will instruct you
about the dangers of fleas.
Precious was originally rescued by her current
owner from another army couple. Originally she was very scared and didn't like
people or strangers. She was named precious as something opposite her personality when
she first came home. But since then, she's had a change of opinion. Now she's a very
sweet docile dog and matches her name very well.
Nobody wants to mess with Mr. T,
he's one big bad dude. He was a demolitions expert on "The A-Team"
(an 80's TV program) and fought Rocky in "Rocky III."
This little white chihuahua thinks he's just
as tough and he's ready to prove it. Here, Mr. T is relaxing after submitting
a blood sample in the arms of his technician chauffeur. Just because
you're tough doesn't mean you don't enjoy some T.L.C! (Tender loving
care.)
Meet Quinn. His owner wanted a unique
name, why not use a unique letter as well? So, in his quandary, he quarried
his memory in his quest for the quintessential name. Without quibbling,
his quick queries quantified a quadrillion names. Avoiding any quartic
names, he found something anti-quotidian in "Quinn."
Everyone calls her Annie.
But to let everyone in on a little secret, her real name is Anastasia
Noel. She came to her new family at Christmas and brought good tidings
to all. Why "Anastasia?" We're not sure beyond the fact its a pretty
name. Annie comes to see us more often than most dogs: she has diabetes.
However, she has met her challenge well and with the help of her family,
exemplifies that even a sweet dog can overcome problems with "sweets."
