The Pet Gallery: Page 2

Welcome to our Pet Gallery. Get to know our friendly, fun, fantastic, furry friends. We'd love to add your fuzzy family member to our mix. Please e-mail a photo or three to djohnmedcomp@yahoo.com and put "Pet Gallery" in the subject. Include your pet's name and a little note about how your pet received it or simply just a cute story. Who knows, your little (or not so little) one may even become a professor and "teach" a subject in our library!

Cassius
We have yet another boxer puppy! We have been discussing many aspects of his health, care, and lifestyle with his owners and like any 10-week old, he found it very interesting, as you can see. The reason for his name has a neat logic to it. His new family told us, "Cassius Clay was a boxer and he (their puppy) is a boxer. So ...."
Lolita
Lolita here has a life the rest of us could only wish for. We were reminded of the line from an old song, "Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets." But seriously, this little Chihuahua is cute and friendly but can stand up for herself. Her owner describes her as "Mexican with a Cuban attitude."

Toby
Toby is a miracle puppy. Please understand, every puppy is a miracle, but Toby has endured more veterinary care and triumphed over more medical issues than most dogs ever want to experience. He has turned into a great energetic dog, but why not read his story.
Zach
As a Bichon Frise, Zach has a reputation of pride and class to uphold for his entire breed. Zach has a good home with a family well experienced in this breed's care. His "mother" often jokes that since his predecessor's name came from one end of the alphabet, Zach's name had to come from the other.
Junior
This is our friendly neighborhood bulldog, Junior. Just like any bulldog, he is solidly built and full of muscle, but he just relaxes more often of late. You see, Junior is now a senior. Why "Junior?", he just looks like one, don't you think?
Teddy Bear & Mia
As you can see, Teddy Bear is a cute and cuddly ... 120 lb Rottweiler What type of canine companion does such a stalwart and robust dog need? Why, a 15 lb chihuahua named Mia of course! Teddy Bear was the largest of his litter and as such earned the privilege of caring on the name of his lineage. Mia came along later and fit perfectly into her new family. Why Mia? Her owners decided to use logic: a chihuahua is a small dog, so she needed a small name.
Whiskers
A wonderful family rescued Whiskers when when he was ten years old. This gentle feline proves even older cats can be fill a void in your family that you never knew existed. Apparently, Whiskers filled the role of chew toy to a large dog in his previous dwelling, but now he has a much better home. He has always been known as "Whiskers," but his white lashes contrast starkly with his dark coat from the right angle.
Rhoda & Blue
One fine Saturday morning, a Bedlington Terrier named Blue (on the right) exited his exam room and ran into another Bedlington Terrier named Rhoda (on the left). Their owners had a fun time meeting another Bedlington Terrier and trading "Bedlington gossip." Rhoda gathered strength and faced her appointment with renewed courage with the mind set, "If one of us Bedlington's can handle this, so can I."
Candy, Mulder, & Cookie
Have you ever seen a "gaggle of greyhounds?" A wonderful family rescued these docile and lovable dogs. Candy just joined the household to round out this trio with Mulder and Cookie. (Doesn't this picture of three large greyhounds packed into a van remind you of those clown cars in the circus with twenty clowns inside? If you saw these dogs, you would wonder how they all fit inside that car.)
Spice
Little girls are mode of sugar and spice and everything nice. A family with three sweet little girls named this labrador-mix puppy (on the left). And what name did they choose? Spice. Why? Even their mother is not sure. (Maybe they're hinting to mom for a "Sugar" puppy to complement Spice.) Here Spice has met our recent miracle puppy Toby and letting him know he's going to be okay.
